Membership in the Medical Alumni Association is open to graduates of the University of Alabama School of Medicine, Mobile Medical College, Birmingham Medical College, students of the former two-year School of Medicine at the University of Alabama Tuscaloosa from 1920-45, and University of Alabama Hospital’s House Staff since 1945 (including residents and fellows from Birmingham, Montgomery, Tuscaloosa and Huntsville). All School of Medicine faculty are eligible to join.
Active members are those who pay annual dues. Dues, while not required for membership, are a way to participate in the Medical Alumni Association, support medical education, give back to your school and other benefits as listed below.
The Board of Directors of the University of Alabama Medical Alumni Association suggests the following membership level structure for contributions to the Association in support of programs. (Current interns and residents - $25.00)
Are my annual dues tax deductible? Only membership payments in excess of benefits received are considered tax deductible. You may choose to opt out of either partial or all of the member benefits.
Active Membership - $100

Silver Membership - $250
Gold Memberhip - $500
Platinum Membership - $1,000
