Julia L. Boothe, MD
Dr. Julia Boothe is a 2002 graduate of The University of Alabama School of Medicine. She completed her residency at the Tuscaloosa Family Medicine Residency Program in 2005, where she was Chief Resident from 2004 to 2005.
She is owner and medical director of Pickens County Primary Care, PC in Reform, Alabama, where she has an active private practice. She is also a Site Director for TLC2 (UASOM’s innovative Longitudinal Integrated Curriculum program based on the Tuscaloosa Campus). She served as clerkship director for the Tuscaloosa Campus Family Medicine Department from 2008 to 2014, and continues to precept family medicine clerkship students and residents in her busy practice.
Presently, she is President of the Alabama Academy of Family Physicians and serves on numerous boards secondary to her commitment to the Academy. She is currently on the board of the Medical Alumni Association and serves on the UASOM Admissions Committee for the Rural Medical Scholars Program. She is active in her county medical society and is currently President of the medical staff at Pickens County Medical Center.
She is married to Aubrey Boothe, Jr. of Coker, Alabama and has two children: Laura Adelynn, age 12, and Sarah Beth, age 7. She enjoys singing at church and participates in many committees and activities at Ridgecrest Baptist in Tuscaloosa. She’s a member of the Tuscaloosa Red Elephant Club and she and her family follow many activities and sports at the University of Alabama.
